Sailing: New course card issued with map. Thanks to Colin Blanks for supplying a clock for the racebox.
Extra event planned for carnival weekend – East zone junior squad meeting. BSC will be jointly hosting optimists at the club with the RB and Corinthian.
Handbook – Action: John Hardy to discuss with John Paul
Racebox boards and flags discussed.
Action: John Paul and Rosemary Prior to sort out a lockable box to hold the boards and flags outside the racebox.
JCC: JCC would like the club’s social programme information for Burnham Week.
Action: Rosemary Prior to supply information to JCC.
Rosemary reported that a recent JCC meeting had discussed wetlands, wildlife and wind turbines.

Clubhouse re-opening party discussed. It was decided that the event would be combined with the Pontoon party in memory of Stuart Paul . Date to be confirmed but likely to be June 19th.
Juniors: The start of season instruction letter has been sent out to parents. This year’s pond group is a good size. More confirmed adult volunteers are needed for helping with junior activities. It is expected that Victoria Lewis and Sam Weetch will be running the Volunteer group on the river.
Action: Caroline Weetch to check that Victoria is still available
Richard Taylor is organising a combined Feva/Tera train and race weekend (June 5/6). He is talking to RS about the possibility of borrowing some boats for the event.
The committee discussed the availability of funds for coaching from the RYA.
Junior regatta to move dates to Sunday 19th September as it clashes with CYC SailEast event.
Fundraising:
John Mellard has received a cheque for £1000 from the Rotary Club for the purchase of new cookers for the club.
Donations received - £975 raised with the Rotary Club Snowmen Christmas collection, a pamper night and sponsored walk. The committee offered special thanks to Jenni Blunden for her involvement in organising these activities.
Colin Blanks reminded the committee that members can donate their dividend payments at the Co-op by quoting the club’s charity collection number 5495
