Dear Members
As you are probably aware by now, our Club house has sadly suffered a very significant fire; however we intend to continue "business as usual", with some improvisation, and your much needed support!
We have been contacted throughout the day Saturday by the Commodores from all the other Burnham yacht clubs, our Mayor, the Burnham Council and from many of you our Club members, expressing concern, sadness but mostly with many offers of help for which we are extremely grateful.
The Crouch Yacht Club have very generously given all BSC members, temporary membership to their club with immediate effect, enabling us to use their facilities whilest ours are unavailable. Please support the CYC whenever possible.
It is not possible to give an accurate time frame for the rebuild works at our own club but suffice to say we intend to return to our own club house as soon as is possible.
To keep us operating this summer we need your help, we are in urgent need of any of the following:-
Demountable (possibly an ex office or classroom)
Portakabin
Portable toilets
40ft container/storage facility
Generator
Large Marquee/Gazebo
Cash Donations / Pledges
If you know of anyone who may be able to provide us with any help with the above or you feel you could help in any other way please contact:-
