| Here is letter from John Paul to all Junior Parents. The season is nearly here, we still have some spaces left in the Junior section, please feel free to invite any families who you think would like to sail.
10th March 2009
Dear Parents,
Welcome to both old salts and new members of the Burnham Sailing Club Junior Section.
A meeting has been organised for you to meet Friday evening Group leaders, and to find out about the organisation for the Junior Section.
As you will appreciate, with the number of children involved on Friday evening, it is a help to both you and us if you have prior knowledge of the set up. There will be a chance to ask questions about the sailing and to offer your help. As a club we rely totally on volunteers and expect everyone to contribute in some way, whether it be afloat, on the pontoon or in the galley.
The meeting has been arranged for Friday 3rd April at 6pm in the clubhouse.
Junior Trophies still at the club house will be available to collect.
There will also be a second hand sailing gear sale during the evening, so if you have outgrown lifejackets or waterproofs, please bring them with you.
PRE-SEASON WORK DAYS – 4th & 5th April
Of course we can’t start the season without the fleet of safety boats in the water! Please offer your help and come along for the fun from 9.30am to prepare and launch the boats.
Your children are welcome to come with you to help but must be your responsibility.
We hope that you are able to come and look forward to meeting you.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FEES ARE NOW DUE - THANK YOU TO ALL MEMBERS WHO HAVE ALREADY PAID
Yours sincerely,
J H Paul
