Rules talk by World Expert John Doerr 28th February 2009



Many club members attended John's rules talk in the club 2 years ago; they
all agreed that his knowledge of the subject was fantastic.

Although John has been involved in the sport at the highest level  (Olympic
and Americas Cup etc.) his enthusiasm for the subject means that he is very
good at communicating clearly to all levels of sailor, so beginners do not
be afraid to come!!



In order to get the most out of Johns visit for as many different Club
members he will be running 3 rules talk sessions aimed at various
ages/abilities. You can come to as many sessions as you want to - either to
refresh your existing knowledge or learn something new!!



9.30 -10.30                    Beginner session. A quick session aimed at
the younger club members, and new sailors. Non sailing parents may also
enjoy this too.



11.00 - 12.30                Intermediate session. Aimed at more senior
Otters and sailors with some knowledge of racing but keen to improve their
understanding.



2.00 -4.00                      Main club session.  If you are reasonably
familiar with the rules this is for you. John will also run through the new
2009 rule changes etc.
